The Trafficked by Lee Weeks. Disturbing… well, not as much as I’d expected. Luckily, most of the graphic details of the sex trafficking trade are left out, and the story is focused around the characters and their interactions with one another. I didn’t work out who the ‘main man’ was, and the story kept my attention all the way through. The only thing I found offputting was that the writing itself sometimes seemed stilted, as if it had been translated from another language but not by someone who was fluent in both. Perhaps it had. Also, she needs a better proofreader, there were too many silly little errors.
Other than that, the story itself was good and I’d recommend it as a fast-paced and gripping read.
