Three-Day Quote Challenge: Day Two

I was tagged by Estprophet518 to do a three-day quote challenge. And I like challenges, and I also like quotes, so I figured why not?

The idea is to post three quotes each day for three days. Here’s day two.

On Writing Conditions

“That is why one can never be alone enough when one writes; why there can never be enough silence around one when one writes; why even night is not night enough.” – Franz Kafka

On Insanity

“He was insane. And when you look directly at an insane man all you see is a reflection of your own knowledge that he’s insane, which is not to see him at all.” – Robert M. Pirsig, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance

On Solitude

“A lover of nooks and retired corners, I was as a child in the habit of fleeing from society.” – George Borrow, Lavengro
