I watched so much Netflix this year that I couldn’t easily fit it all into twelve posts, so here are some mini-reviews of a few of the other things I watched.
Miranda has been popular for years, and yet I didn’t have a TV for so long that I never watched it. I didn’t think I’d been missing anything, until I decided to give it a go because I’d seen Miranda Hart on a panel show and found her quite amusing.
Well, it was great.
How did I not watch this show before this year? People have been raving about it for ages and yet it took me a very long time to check it out.
I have an on-off relationship with this show, and I think I only enjoyed the latest season because I was off my face on painkillers at the time.
OK so Killjoys is amazing and that’s really all you need to know.
A Netflix original focusing on the true story of some investigators trying to uncover what happened to a nun who was murdered decades ago, The Keepers drags on a bit but is interesting in its subject matter. (more…)
I might as well just tell you this show is excellent right away and save you the bother of reading the whole review.
This show opened to critical reception due to its subject matter and graphic depiction of suicide. However, I decided to watch it anyway, and I’m glad I did.
I had tried to watch Pretty Little Liars before, and I’d given up in the first episode because it just seemed a bit… silly?
Well, it is, and it only gets increasingly far-fetched the further into it you get. However, if you’re off your face on a bunch of medication and desperate for something a bit brainless to watch, it can be a lot of fun.
Another classic which I’d somehow never seen, Gilmore Girls tells the story of Lorelai and her daughter, who’s also called Lorelai but is commonly known as Rory.
