It’s been a while since I updated the list of things that still need to be done around the flat, so I thought I’d grit my teeth and work it out today.
Although I feel like I’ve hardly done anything, there have been a few very productive days, which means I’ve probably done more than I thought I’d achieved.
I’m copying the list from the previous post and crossing out the things I’ve already done. And hopefully not adding any new things. Here we go… Read more
I’m having a bit of a phase. It’s a phase that might turn out not to be a phase after all, by which I mean it might well end up lasting forever.
The phase is plants. I’m a bit obsessed. Read more
The other day a Wonderful Thing happened with my flat. If you’ve been following the Flat Saga, you will know that Wonderful Things are not often forthcoming around here, so when they do happen I get Very Excited.

I’ve been renovating my flat since I moved in four years ago. It’s not even nearly finished. It’s exhausting and exciting and all sorts of other words I can’t currently think of because my brain’s so focused on waiting for an email from the builder who came over earlier today, made a sucking noise through his teeth and gave me such a long list of things which need to happen that I can only remember about 50% of them.
The big news of last week is:
My boiler is finally fixed!
This is very exciting. It’d been broken since last December. They managed to briefly fix it about a month ago, but the fix lasted two days before it broke again.
So far this time, we’re on four days and counting. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
