I’ve been renovating my flat since I moved in four years ago. It’s not even nearly finished. It’s exhausting and exciting and all sorts of other words I can’t currently think of because my brain’s so focused on waiting for an email from the builder who came over earlier today, made a sucking noise through his teeth and gave me such a long list of things which need to happen that I can only remember about 50% of them.
This week I called the boiler people out because my radiators weren’t coming on and I had no hot water.
The man arrived to fix it and spent about twenty minutes banging around in the kitchen before he called me through and we had the following conversation.
Work on my bathroom has finally finished, and my aunt has a killing machine in her bedroom. So, how’s your week been?
The big news of last week is:
My boiler is finally fixed!
This is very exciting. It’d been broken since last December. They managed to briefly fix it about a month ago, but the fix lasted two days before it broke again.
So far this time, we’re on four days and counting. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
