I am back from travelling, finally. I have my house to myself, finally. There is no one staying with me, there are no builders building things in my flat, and I am not somewhere else.
It’s good to be back.
This year, slow travel wins the race. Or is just better for not getting exhausted *during* the race. Or something.
Have I really been back in the country a whole week?
This has been my first full week properly back at work, and it’s been a good one.
Last week was taken up with flying and being on trains and having meetings and going to conferences.
This week has been taken up with actual work.
Last Sunday I got home from Oxford at 5am. Since then, I’ve been playing a game of catch-up, trying to get my sleep patterns back to normal whilst also getting all the work done.
After a quiet Q1 (in business terms, at least) the year seems to finally be gathering speed. All at once, of course.
